Leslie

I love spending time with Leslie. She is one of my closest friends and we always have fun together. I was able to see her three times while I was home and it was great. She just loves Justin and that makes me love her that much more. We made it to Pogacha's in Bellevue one night for a very tasty dinner and then went to another favorite, Hector's the other night and went to Tiki Joe's after to play our game that we love so much. We were 20 points away from the high score!!!! Leslie I adore you and expect you to visit us soon, you know you will get a call from Colin if you don't follow through!!
High School Reunion

Well I am starting to feel a little bit old as I attended my 10 year reunion. I went with Kelli, Miranda and Yvette. It was fun to see people: some who have gained A LOT of weight, others who have lost a lot of weight. Many with receeding hair lines and large beer belly's. Some married, some divorced, a few with babies and about 5 with babies on the way. Of course we had a few unemployed ones who said they were doing "a little of this, a little of that" and one millionaire who was buying bottles of champagne for everyone. The same clicks still remained but I did notice that everyone was much more friendly than in high school. All in all it was a great time, probably would have been more fun if I could have had a drink or two and gone to the after party but I was so tired by 9:30 that I went home.
Aquarium

So my Mom and I wanted to do something with Justin that was really "Seattleish". Like the Zoo, Aquarium or Pacific Science Center. We decided on the aquarium because Justin is so into fish right now. It was a lot smaller than I remember from when I was a kid but it was so fun to see Justin experience something that I have experienced many times as a kid. He LOVED the big fish and the seals. It was a blast. I can't wait to come back when he is older and take him to the Pacific Science center and the zoo. Both places I went to a lot as a child. It's important to me that Justin knows Seattle like it's his second home!
Dinner with my family

As you may or may not know, I LOVE my cousins!! They are and always have been like brothers to me. I really love spending time with them and the best part is for once I really like their girlfriends. Justin and I went and spend the night with at my Aunt Shelley's on Friday night and got lots of time in with them and then the following Monday we went to one of my all time favorites - Cafe Veloce's in Kirkland for a goodbye dinner. They are planning on coming down in October, I really hope they do because as I have said before - I absolutely love these guys!!!!!

Drums with Bennett
We went over to Jocelyn's for Fathers Day lunch and had the best burgers I have had in a long time. I had just had brunch with my girlfriends not even 2 hours before and I still ate my whole burger and really good dessert too. I swear I ate enough to last me for the next month when I was up there! Went to all of my favorite restaurants of course too!! Anyways, with in 5 minutes of us arriving, Bennett had already scooped Justin up and had to show him the drums. This was so cute. Usually Justin is shy around new things, especially loud things. It takes him a minute to check out his surroundings and then he warms up. Well he took over right away and I must say Justin has a lot of rythym.
Baby Shower
Seattle Trip

So as most of you know I went to Seattle for a week for my baby shower and to get a dose of my girlfriends. Lots of things happened... it was also my 10 year reunion which was a nice coincidence and Justin got to stay an extra 5 days with Grammy (Sandie). We always love staying with Sandie, she is so much fun... Justin and Sandie have a very special bond... she just gets him... and gives me a little break so I can relax. Sandie's cat can be a feisty one - but he never was with Justin, I think Maverick actually likes Justin. The one picture is of Bennett, Colin's sisters boyfriend who taught him how to play the drums, it was so cute - video to follow. Here are some photos from his stay with Grammy and we can't forget Tucker of course, her dog, who is Justin's new best friend.

Video's and more videos
Seems these days it's easier to capture Justin in video than pictures since he is so active. Here is a video of Justin and his new best friend. They play together all the time. In fact over the past 48 hours Justin practically starts and ends a sentence with "Bubba". That was the first thing he said this morning. He was telling Bubba to "come on" downstairs and to go outside... he is starting to talk really well, where others can almost understand him!

Happy Mother's Day to me!

We had a fabulous Mother's Day. I woke up to a giant card from Colin and Justin. It made me teary eyed. Colin had Justin draw in it for me and they traced his hands too and of course some kind words from my amazing husband! We then went to breakfast at Crackerbarrel. I hadn't had it in forever since Colin was tired of it so I got to pick and he had to go!!!!! Then we headed off to the Phoenix Zoo. Lots of fun, we thought Justin would really enjoy it since he knows how to make all of the sounds of the animals. We had a blast. We even went into the petting zoo part. There were only goats in there and it was so cute. Justin didn't want to pet the goats, rather he just wanted to touch each one, so he ran around and touched each goat once.
We came home and put Justin down for a nap and then went out by the pool for a little bit before we went to my parents house for a relaxing dinner and pool time. It was a great day!
Hangin with my other buddy
This is Angelica, Maria's daughter. Both of Maria's kids and Maria and her husband came over two weeks ago to swim in the pool and have dinner, lots of fun. We swam for a while. Justin was very brave and started the whole under the water thing. Justin gets along great with both of her kids, Angelica and Noah. Here they are watching a movie eating popcorn. She was posing for the camera and Justin was wondering what she was doing! So Cute!

My new toy
Look at me!!!
So I have been doing a bit of nesting - cleaning out closets, bedrooms, organizing etc. We were in the room where his ATV was (that he has been scared of). I asked him if he wanted to get on it and he said yes so I put him on. He zoomed around upstairs for about 30 minutes so I got Colin to come in and see. This is now Justin's favorite toy and we have it outside and he zooms around everywhere! It's so cute. The clip that is shown you can tell the battery is beginning to run low.

Park with Noah
My first bandaid

Justin didn't really need a band-aid. He had a little cut on his finger, looked like a paper cut. But he kept saying "owie, owie, owie" so I asked to see it. He showed me, I gave it a kiss and asked if he wanted a bandaid. So we gave him one. It lasted about 12 seconds but he thought it was pretty cool!

Mowin the lawn
Pool time!
Well the pool is just a little bit cold still to go in. But we were determined. It was kind of cute I jumped in and Justin freaked out and started crying. It was like he thought I was hurt or something. So then I go over by the step and try to get him to come in with me and he kept saying "Mo" (which means No, he just hasn't figured that out yet). So we decided to go in the hot tub cause we can obviously warm that up easier than the pool. Don't worry everyone, it was only heated up to about 95 which is bath water temp. He didn't like it at first but then once I showed him where he could walk in there he liked it. So much so that he fell asleep on me. The warm water did that to him last year and apparently again this year. Something relaxing about being in warm water. And yes, we need to get him a summer/outside hat. His beanie from when he was a baby doesn't quite cut it. But it was funny enough to take pix of!

Vacuuming in Swimmers
Fountain at Westgate

There is a fountain at westgate that is meant to be played in. They have lounge chairs all around and all the kids run around and play in the water. It was a warm day outside so it was lots of fun! Justin basically stayed on the outside and walked around the fountain. He still had fun watching the other kids. I know the pictures aren't great but I haven't let him loose in public before so I didn't want to be distracted by the camera. Crazy mom I know. That is baby Noah, my friend Maria's son. She also has a 3yr old daughter who Justin adores too.
