standing up -or at least trying

Justin has been sitting up like a champ for a while and now he is attempting to stand himself up. I helped him hold on to the couch but he does like to crawl up my legs and stand up - it is adorable!!

Little Explorer

Justin started crawling and sitting up all at the same time on March 25th. He is getting faster - it is so fun to watch. He is just now figuring out how to shift his legs back and forth, he still sometimes scoots his legs. He crawls right up to the tile floor in our family room and stops and whines. He wants to follow me into the kitchen but doesn't like the hard tile so he just sits up and looks at me - it's so funny! He is starting to explore all of the carpeted areas, as all of you parents know, we are having to childproof the house!
The poor little guy also had pink eye in both eyes and two ear infections all in the same weekend. He was still the happiest guy ever, in fact he was almost in a better mood, it was weird. We have the best guy in the world, he is our best friend!
Sorry, no pictures right now, I am at the shop but will post soon. Love to all of you!

Auntie Helen

Every year my mom and I go to California to visit my Aunt Helen. This year since we have a new addition to the group she flew here. We always have a great time and it's always fun having a girls weekend! Here are some pictures at my favorite mexican restaurant, El Encanto.

Practice makes perfect

We can now prop Justin up so he can practice his balance. He can almost sit up on his own and is getting ready to crawl!! So exciting!!!!!

Big Boy Stroller

Another milestone (at least for us). We decided to put Justin in his stoller the "big boy way". He loved it, just looked around like it was nothing new. He really takes to new things with ease.

Real (Baby) Food!

Colin was finally able to enjoy the excitment of feeding his son! We gave him baby food for the first time today and Colin and baby really enjoyed it. At first Justin made a funny sour face - but then he opened wide for more...

First time in the high chair!

We strapped the little guy in and let him hang out in his new high chair - he loved it because he was closer to our level - he feels like he is part of the crowd!

Upside down

Some of Colin's games with his son!

rolling over

Justin is getting ready to crawl, but in the mean time he is practicing his roll overs - even when he is naked - fresh out of the bath!!

Ice Cream

Justin loves ice cream just as much as him mom - never mind that his is plastic!!! He puts everything in sight into his mouth right now as we are expecting a tooth any day now!

Jumperoo and Bumbo

Colin and I bought Justin this jumperoo for Christmas. It allows him to jump up and down and get a good leg workout. He loves it!

The other item is his Bumbo, which Colin's dad bought for him. Justin loves it because it allows him to sit up on his own and that is all he wants to do right now. I love it because it works out his muscles that will allow him to sit on his own pretty soon! (when he has his beanie hat on - he is Colin's twin)!!!

It's a milestone!

Justin rolled over all by himself for the first time today!!!! We have been practicing for a while and today, when Colin got home from work he rolled over - we got him to do it 4 times in a row!!!!! So exciting!

Hanging with Dad

Justin is really in to standing up right now. He went from only wanting to sit up to only wanting to stand now... he is also learning to fly!

Grammy time!

We had another fun visit from Grammy! Sandie came and stayed with us for the weekend. It was so fun to see her with Justin and it was fun for her to see how much he has changed in only two months. All he wants to do is sit up right now. He is getting so strong!!!!

Santa pictures

My mom and I took JD to have his pictures with Santa. The lines were so long - this was our 3rd attempt. We waited for a little over an hour and it was so worth it. We got a great smile out of him and it was fun to watch him stare Santa - he was trying to figure him out.
