Making up for lost time

Colin and I have had a lot going on over the past few weeks so I apologize for not posting. We have taken lots of pictures for you all to enjoy!

Cousin on the way!!!!

I just want to say congratulations to Ryan and Sundi! They are pregnant and it is the most exciting news! We can't wait to have a nephew and a cousin for Justin. We are all so excited, words can't express. Ryan and Sundi are going to be such sweet, loving parents I can't wait to see them in action. I bet $1000 Ryan will change a diaper with in the first week! He is going to be a great father, very hands on and loving. I know that Justin loves his Uncle Ryan and loves playing with him so I can't wait to see Ryan with his own child/children. Sundi is going to be the sweetest Mom and has so much love to give her kids. They will be the coolest kid/kids in town (of course besides Justin). Congrats to you guys. Sundi is hoping for twins too! Everyone please keep them in your thoughts.

My First Baseball Game

Colin and I took Justin to his first baseball game today. It was actually our first game down here in AZ too so it was lots of fun! We brought his little umbrella stroller and then he sat in our laps at the game. When we sat down I let Justin stand on my lap and he started dancing and clapping - he was so excited. It was so fun for Justin, he was having a great time. When everyone would clap he would too because he thought they were clapping for him, he was a little confused at first. It was pretty funny because he would even clap for the wrong team! We had really good seats and it made me rather neurotic because every time a ball came into the stands I would cover Justin because I was afraid it was going to hit Justin! Just another thing to worry about =)! No one sat to our left and there was a dad and daughter sitting to our right. My favorite part was when Colin, a proud father, turned to the dad next to us and proudly said "this is his first game". Priceless...

I'm Walking!!

Well Justin started taking some steps a few weeks ago but has basically taken a break for the last week. Well starting yesterday he tried walking almost every chance he had. Now he is constantly walking - we would say 40% of the time. Still wobbily and has new bruises to prove it. But it's so fun to see. He should be a pro by the time Grammy Sandie and Aunt Patty get down here this Thursday. We can't wait for the visit!!!!

Love me some Lasagna!

Justin is getting accustomed to eating the foods that we eat. I made a lasagna on Sunday and he was eating leftovers today. He ate almost an entire piece and loved it as you can see from the picture!!! This picture makes me crack up! This is Justin's "Cheese" smile!!!!

Justin has picked up standing up in the middle of the room over the last week. His latest is standing and drinking at the same time - this even takes skill for an adult to do!! He is also starting to walk. He started officially walking on Sunday (sort of) - he is now up to 5 steps!

A shiner and a new toothbrush

Justin is really trying to walk really hard and has a few wounds to show for it... also today we got him a new toothbrush. We had our dr. visit last week and she said no more bottle and we have to start fattening him up AND brushing his teeth! SO many changes. He is pretty much over the bottle, eats all the time and will take us a little while to figure out how to brush the teeth...

We had a little party for Justin's first Birthday. Colin's dad, my parents and my cousins were all able to make it for the bday bash! We had a great meal and enjoyed watching Justin dig into the cake and open his presents (with help from cousin Ashley of course).

WELL AS MANY OF YOU KNOW AT 10:30AM LAST JULY 27TH THE MOST PRECIOUS BUNDLE OF JOY WAS BROUGHT INTO THIS WORLD. NOW HERE WE ARE A YEAR LATER AND CAN'T BELIEVE HOW FAST TIME HAS GONE. JUSTIN IS SUCH AN AMAZING LITTLE MAN. HE IS SO SMART, CONTENT, HAPPY, FUNNY, ADORABLE, SWEET, LAIDBACK AND JUST ONE PRETTY INCREDIBLE BOY - I KNOW I SOUND LIKE JUST ANOTHER PARENT DESCRIBING THEIR CHILD - BUT HE REALLY IS. AMAZING IS THE BEST WORD I COULD USE. EVERYONE WHO HAS MET HIM THINKS HE IS JUST THAT.
HE BRINGS SO MUCH HAPPINESS INTO OUR LIVES - WE CAN'T EVEN BEGIN TO DESCRIBE IT. COLIN AND I ARE HIS BIGGEST FANS!

My new haircut and my Grandpa's visit!!

Colin and I took Justin to get his haircut for his birthday party we are having this coming friday. It looks so cute, it's really short, but only because it grows so fast - it should be the perfect length by his bday! It's so cute - they used clippers for the sides, which was pretty scary, but it looks great!!!!!! He looks like a little boy - it's crazy - he is growing up so fast! When the lady came to take us back I wanted to call Sandie. Last time we were almost stuck with an old biker lady who had a black eye and white bleached frizzy hair. So I requested someone else. I wanted to again this time but she actually did a great job! I think Colin really enjoyed this experience, he smiled and said "he really looks like me now" - it was a father/son bonding moment, soooooo cute - but don't tell him I said that ;)

Doug gets in town in two days to see his amazing grandson. Last time he saw him was last October and boy has he changed. It will be a really good time and I can't wait. Doug is going to take care of the baby on Thursday, friday, saturday and monday morning. Boy is he in for it! Justin is all over the place and wants to get into everything. It's going to be a blast and they will get in some really good quality time!!

Justin's first injury with blood

I know this is kind of weird to write about but it was an event for me. Justin was crawling around and going to fast for his own good. Last night he slipped and lightly tapped his face on the tile. One of his little teeth bled. Not bad at all and he was fine after about 10 seconds. I was still upset and talking about for about 30 minutes afterwards however. I felt so bad that I couldn't take away his pain. All in all he is fine and will never remember it, but I always will - it was the first time our little guy had an injury with blood!!!! =(

Teeth and daycare

Sorry no pictures right now but wanted to let everyone know that we have a complete set of front teeth!! Justin's front tooth finally came in. So now we have 4 on top and of course the two on the bottom. Can't wait for them to come in so we can see all of them!!!

As some of you know I tried putting Justin in an in home daycare and it was aweful! He started back at Kindercare today and just loved it - YEAY!!!! I went early enough so I could hang out for about 30 minutes before work to make sure he was comfortable (usually I stay for about 20 minutes and at the in home she didn't want me to stay at all!!) He didn't cry when I left which was so nice. He loves Kindercare and it puts my mind at ease knowing that he is happy and I don't have to worry about him!

All turned around!

As you all know Justin's bday is coming up in about two weeks! We turned the car seat around. He just loves it. He loves looking around and out the window. Although now he has become rather loud because he can see us and thinks we should be paying attention to him!!

Exersaucer to walker

Justin's new favorite toy is his exersaucer that converts into a walker. He is halarious! He goes and goes and when it stops he sits down and gets mad because it won't keep going!!! Another thing that he has picked up since Sandie was here was clapping. So the first time that he walked with this I clapped my hands and said "yeay baby" which is his cue to clap. He stopped walking, sat down and clapped. He was so proud of himself!

Justin is such a Curious George or Nosy Rosy like his mom! Now that he sits in a high chair he turns around and looks at everyone but us. He loves to look at everything that is going on around him. Colin jokes that we should put him at the table next to us to get him to pay attention to us.

He is really starting to love "real" food. He loves cheese, rice, peas, green beans, limes and anything else he can get his little hands on!! He stuffs his little mouth because he likes the whole picking it up thing, then he slowly swallows everything loaded in his mouth! It's pretty adorable!!!

First Set of Clubs!

My parents gave Justin his first set of clubs. Of course he chewed on them the whole time but I am sure he will be quite the golfer thanks to Colin, Grandpa and Uncle Ryan!
